What to expect from your eye exam appointment during COVID-19
Your health and safety, and the health and safety of our team is our top priority. Here are our new policies and the protocols we’ve put in place to keep everyone safe during their visits!
Before your appointment:
Our team will screen you for your risk of COVID-19.
Once we select an appointment time for you, we will ask you to fill out our secure online intake forms before your appointment to limit contact in the office for everyone’s safety. One of our team members will email them to you!
When you arrive:
Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible! We request you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment.
Our team will screen you for the risk of COVID-19 before entering the office.
Wear a mask.
Sanitize your hands.
Continue to maintain physical distancing with the help of floor markings.
Arrive to your appointment alone whenever possible (parents, guardians and translators are allowed).
Behind the scenes:
We’ve increased the time between appointments to ensure that physical distancing can be maintained. This also allows for additional time to sanitize thoroughly and frequently.
All equipment will be sanitized with medical grade disinfectant after each appointment.
Exam rooms and our reception area will be disinfected after each appointment.
All surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected often.
During your exam:
We request that you keep your mask on for the duration of your visit. Please do not bring food or drinks to consume in the office!
Shields have been installed on our equipment.
Your optometrist will be wearing gloves, masks, and eye protection.
After your appointment:
We will provide you with your new prescription.
