What to expect from your visit

What to expect from your eye exam appointment

Your health and safety, and the health and safety of our team is our top priority. Here are the policies and the protocols we’ve put in place to keep everyone safe during their visits!

Before your appointment:

  • Once we’ve selected an appointment time for you, we’ll confirm your booking, review fees, and provide important details about your visit.

  • Before your appointment, we’ll ask you to complete our secure online intake forms.

  • If you’re experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask that you contact our team to reschedule your appointment.

When you arrive:

  • Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible—we kindly ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes early.

  • Masks are not required. If possible, we appreciate patients choosing to wear one during cold and flu season.

Behind the scenes:

  • All equipment is sanitized with medical-grade disinfectant after each use.

  • Exam rooms and our reception area are thoroughly disinfected after every appointment.

  • High-touch surfaces are cleaned and disinfected frequently throughout the day.

During your exam:

  • Your optometrist will perform a comprehensive eye examination, which includes assessing your vision, checking for eye health conditions like cataracts or glaucoma, evaluating how your eyes work together, and determining your prescription for glasses or contact lenses if needed.

  • Breath shields have been installed on our equipment to provide an added layer of protection, especially during cold and flu season.

  • During cold and flu season, our team will wear appropriate personal protective equipment for everyone’s safety.

After your appointment:

  • You will receive a copy of your updated prescription along with a receipt for your records or insurance purposes.

  • If needed, we’ll schedule any required follow-up appointments before you leave.
