Dr. Sheldon Butler

Sheldon completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Ottawa. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, graduating in the spring of 2004. From then until returning to Ottawa in the winter of 2006, he worked and lived in Vancouver, BC. Dr. Butler has a special interest in high-oxygen, continuous wear contact lenses, as well as pediatric optometry.

Dr. Patrick Monaghan

Patrick grew up in Ottawa before moving out west, where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Calgary. He then obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, graduating in the spring of 2009. His clinical experience as a student included externships in Kentucky and Indiana, working closely with both corneal and retinal specialists. Currently he is serving as the co-president of the Ottawa Society of Optometrists. He has a special interest in ocular disease management, and welcomes patients of all ages.

Dr. Crystal Chan

Crystal completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees at the University of Waterloo, graduating in the spring of 2009. Having worn glasses since the age of seven, she understood at an early age the importance of vision in daily function. Crystal enjoys meeting patients from all walks of life and providing for their specific eye care needs. She has a passion for volunteering her optometric services to people in developing countries, having most recently participated in a Gift of Sight mission to El Salvador in the fall of 2008. In the past she volunteered as a CNIB “friendly visitor” by helping a blind elderly woman on a weekly basis with various tasks such as reading mail and recipes. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys reading, painting, playing the piano, biking, and yoga.
